The Founder Story

Started at 18 with a dream

I have always known I wanted to go into business. When I was sixteen, I started multiple businesses, trying different ideas and learning what it really takes to create something meaningful. Business was never a question of if but when.
After finishing my final Year 12 exam, my Italian exam on the 20th of November, I decided to stop waiting for the perfect time and start something real. Just two months later, Just Suits was born.
Fashion was never a random choice for me. My dad has been in the clothing industry his entire life, just like his father before him. It is something that has always been in our family. My dad has owned a retail store for over fifteen years, and I have grown up surrounded by it. Since I was young, I have listened to his phone calls, watched him talk to suppliers, and seen how much care goes into every detail of the business. When I was sixteen, I began working in the store myself, helping customers, learning about fabrics, and understanding what people truly value. Even before that, I was always there, observing, learning, and absorbing everything about the industry.
There is a feeling you get when you see someone in public wearing something you helped create. It is something you cannot recreate anywhere else. I remember watching my dad experience that feeling. Whether it was someone walking through the CBD, on a cruise, or in a quiet suburb, seeing someone wear his product always made him smile. That sense of pride, knowing that something you made is now part of someone else’s life, was something I wanted to feel too. That was one of the biggest reasons I chose this path.

The inspiration for Just Suits came from two moments that have stayed with me. The first was at my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary, when I wore a blazer for the first time. I did not just feel dressed up, I felt grown up. People kept complimenting me, and for the first time, I realised how clothing can completely change how you feel. I wanted to help other kids experience that same confidence.

The second moment was at my Year 6 graduation. As I walked past my Principal, she smiled and said, “I like your jacket.” It was such a small comment, but I never forgot it. That was the first time I realised how something as simple as clothing can make you feel noticed, confident, and proud of who you are.
Since then, I have poured that feeling into every part of Just Suits. The goal has always been the same — to create clothing that helps kids feel confident and proud of themselves. Running this business while being a university student has not been easy. There have been long nights, lessons learned, and the challenge of balancing study with running a brand. But every message from a parent and every story about a child feeling special in one of our shirts or blazers makes it all worth it.
For me, there were two paths ahead. I could have gone into investment banking, or I could build something that meant something. I chose this because I believe children’s clothing can create real change. Confidence starts young, and the right outfit can help a child see themselves in a new way.
Every design at Just Suits carries that purpose. From wrinkle-free shirts to perfectly tailored blazers, everything we make is guided by the values my family taught me — quality, care, and pride. Together, we are building more than a brand. We are helping kids feel confident, parents feel proud, and families create memories that last.
